I love a good cozy mystery.  It’s like M & M’s to me – I can’t get enough and this book really delivered on the sweet treat!  It’s been a while since I gave a 5-star review but this book earned it!

What really hooked me into this book was one of the minor characters Juan Chico (who the main character Olive guesses that his mom must have watched The Waltons – think about it!).  When an author can make an intriguing back-story and a link I can relate to on a minor character – you know they are going to spend just as much effort on the entire book and this author did just that.

Tie in the Barbeque town of Lockhart (I agree Olive, Black’s is the best – unless it’s ham and then no one does it better than Kreuz!) and a rather large dog named Boo Radley, bodies in a cemetery – above ground! a nosey neighbor and it was a joy to read.  The twists and turns were well done and I found myself sneaking a read whenever I could (sorry I really meant to be in the gym when I was caught reading in the parking lot!).
