Terror Bay by Lisa Towles

Starting my year off right with a 5-star read. I have read several books by this author, and I have always been entertained. Her stories just keep getting better. Now, to be totally honest, I almost put this book down, which would have been my loss. The story started out a bit confusing, but keep going because the main character is having just as many issues figuring things out as you, the reader – but as things become clearer – OMG!

My official review

In Towles’ latest psychological thriller, the narrative unfolds like a meticulously crafted maze. At the heart of the story is Kurt, who awakens from a coma into a world of bewilderment, mirroring this reader’s initial confusion. The author masterfully exploits this disorientation, turning it into a pivotal plot element. As the tale progresses, the pace quickens, thrusting you into a whirlwind of constant action and intricate subplots. While the complexity of the narrative may be initially disconcerting, it soon becomes apparent that it’s a deliberate choice, artfully reflecting the protagonist’s journey. This book offers readers a gripping roller-coaster adventure with many moving parts, solidifying the author’s reputation for delivering thrilling and thought-provoking narratives.

Alone and exposed, Kurt’s the only one who can bring down this notorious killer and expose an international scandal. But is the cost of justice – to him and everyone he loves, too high? Terror Bay is filled with intrigue and action, with surprises at every turn. Fans of John Sandford and Christine Kling will love Lisa Towles’ new psychological thriller. With a heart-pounding plot, complex characters, and a shocking twist, “Terror Bay” is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers and crime fiction.
