I have to admit, I was already a little biased about this book before I even opened it – it’s set in New Jersey, and as a Jersey girl currently enduring the sweltering Texas heat with over 100-degree days, the idea of fall apple picking felt like a much-needed escape. I could practically smell those crisp apples from my childhood! Add in a sprinkle of magic, a dash of humor, and a heartwarming romance, and I was all in.

While each book in this series stands alone and can be enjoyed in any order, I think this one is the perfect place to start. Faith is a single mom who once had the gift of visions—but they mysteriously stopped about ten years ago, which is kind of tricky when you run a shop called Witchy Woman. Enter Sam, who’s managing his family’s orchard. Their chemistry lights up from the first spark (and over chutney, no less), leading to a charming and winding tale that had me second-guessing that happily ever after a few times! The side characters are just the right touch, adding the perfect flavor to this delightful read. (Okay, I know that sounds a little sappy, but it’s true!)

With autumn right around the corner for some of you, this book will have you ready for cooler days. And for those of us still basking in the heat, it’s the perfect escape to cooler, cozier times. Enjoy!
