This is the third in a Christian Crime series. I have had the pleasure of reading all and they keep me on the edge of my seat. The book is intense with the drama revolving around two central characters. Verdugo, who is hunting and seeking vengeance on a sex trafficking group, and Berg, a Police officer with a bit of an inflated sense of himself. As with the first two books Sr. Detective John Filcher is the calm in the middle of the storm. The alternating chapters, that this author is very proficient at, add to the intensity of the story.
There are a lot of sophisticated and entangled torture scenes, gun fights and action scenes. Nathan Bush is also very good at throwing in what appears at first to be a minor twist – but watch out!
Fans of this series are in for a treat and new readers – jump in and hang on!
This Author has started a subseries Dark Side of Foley and Dark Blue Rising is the first novella. I don’t want to say too much to give away the main twist but it is incredibly helpful in understanding the background of one of his main characters. It’s a behind the scenes look that will enrich your reading of the series. It can be read before or after Twisted Christian.
