Jennie’s Review
I’d barely caught my breath from book one when this sequel popped onto my radar—and honestly, I was ready for it. Familiar faces are back, but the setting? Total shift. We go from the high-powered buzz of D.C. to a small town wrapped around a ski resort, which definitely made me pause. Would it still have that same edge? Short answer: absolutely.
In fact, this one feels like a level-up. The tension is tighter, the pacing smoother, and I found myself far more invested in figuring out where everything was headed. And there’s one character—no spoilers, promise—who had me side-eyeing them the entire time. I was convinced I had them pegged… and let’s just say I was very wrong in the best possible way.
When you read as much as I do, surprises are gold—and this one delivers.
