This is the second book in The Foley Chronicles. While a few characters are back, the perspective of the story is mostly from a new character, Quin, who is a partner to John Filch. I loved the first book in this series (see previous review of Written In Blood), and was very happy to see the second one become available. The first book kept me on the edge of my seat, where this one did not. I did enjoy it but felt like it was to help move the story along and introduce us to the mind and life of Quin. I would like to see more of Quin and John and think this will be a team to watch. Taking all that into consideration, it is a good book with a good story.
The author says the genre is Christian Crime but I feel like the emphasis should be on the Crime. Also as a side note, the editing and proofreading was crisp and clean in this second book.
